GOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With only seconds left on the clock, Eco Sports rallied together, pressed the defense and made a game tying score in the final second of the match.
Welcome sports fans, tonight on the soccer pitch a team stuck together, worked hard and played to the buzzer to come out with a 5/5 tie against a much higher financed team. In today's youth sports were there is no salary cap sometimes the matches are not much of a match. However tonight a team with much more class, much more heart and a whole lot more fun tied against the "Yankees equivalent" of youth indoor soccer.
"Big Cam the Scorin Man "led the night with a hat trick! "Magic Man Matt "had two goals with one in the last moments of the competition! "Leave em in the Dust Liam" had an assist as well as
"Madam Madison".
The offensive pressure and speed by EVERYONE was both brilliant and inspiring.
On the other side of the ball - the D came up BIG. "No way Noah" and "Luke the defensive Duke" were great at shutting down the offence and clearing out the ball. "Magnificent Madie" was dominant in D as well with her impenetrable tackles.
"Noah DOS (2)" and "All over Oliver" were outstanding in covering, clearing and passing.
As they say, "were there is a Will there is a way". " Zip Zap Zach" and "No way Will" combined for a total of 28 awe inspiring, highlight making saves to hold the Nemesis to 5.
Sports fans, what was witnessed out on the soccer pitch between these two teams was a wonderfully played, some what questionably called, spirit lifting and all around fun and exciting match which finished in the final moments with a masterful attack for a 5 to 5 finish.
Way To Go Green!!!!!!!!! That was an awesome game.
Tune in Sunday night at 5 to witness the Sports Alliance take on the Devils - it ought to be a hot one!

The Boys and Girl of ESA Rock!! Coming off a disappointing New England Patriots type loss last week against Kennebunk, the Green surged tonight with a masterful win.

We had had a 22 game winning streak from last season into this season when we lost to Kennebunk in the final seconds of the game, 7 to 6. Good Game Kennebunk.

The Green came back tonight and played very good soccer. With five of the nine players scoring, "Ace" Adam and "Cannon Foot" Cameron had a hat trick each (Adam we all know you really got a 4th, just stay on your feet). We had assists from six players. We had a solid performance. A few of those assists even came off the Defense.

Speaking of defense, wow. Tackles galore. There was not much that got through tonight. "Stonewall" Wil had 7 saves and 2 allowed goals, "Ninja man" Cole had 10 saves with 1 allowed goal. Luke "the Duke of D" shut them out tonight - way to go.

We had a final of Nobel 3, ESA 9. Great job tonight everyone. Its truly a pleasure watching you all play. Go Green!!!!!!

We are Half way through session one and the Lacrosse just keeps getting better. The Alliance and the Defenders have been battling it out each week and it keeps getting tighter and tighter. We had a 13 all draw at our last contest - Great job! The teams are looking like teams now, passing, talking and pulling together. The stick control and body control has vastly improved and the enthusiasm seems to be contagious.
Great job out there. We have even had an over zealous goalie!

Eco Sports played a great session opener. We played the very capable Wells Warriors
Our team is made up of 12 outstanding athletes. Each of whom played an outstanding game. The passing was unselfish, the defense inpenetrable and the spirit was contiguous.
Our goals were scored by "speedy" Liam who had a hat trick, Always faithful Noah with two. Matt and Adam each had a goal as well. Goals don't come without fabulous support. We had Adam, Madison and Cole each with an assist - outstanding job!
In the net we had "stonewall" Wil with 10 saves and a keeper percentage of 80%. Second half was "never stand down" Cole with 5 saves and also with a keeper percentage of 80%. Awesome Work Keepers.
We ended with a 7-3 victory.
Next match is against Saco at 5pm.
